Los Angeles Explodes in Celebration as Dodgers Secure Second World Series Victory
The City of Angels experienced citywide celebrations after the Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-match World Series title. Supporters worldwide joined Angelenos in celebration, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has secured back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Draws Massive Crowds
Los Angeles area events included a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Social media videos show thousands of Angelenos flooding downtown streets, many displaying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the masses, raising the Commissioner’s trophy proudly.
“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to do this,” the star player stated through an interpreter.
The procession path ended at the stadium, where the players walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ providing music and the artist driving a Pacific blue classic car around the field.

However, Mark Walter was met with a less warm reception at the celebration. Recordings from the gathering seem to depict Walter walking onstage to a mix of applause and jeers, with jeers punctuating his address.
The World Series acted as a positive moment in what has been a challenging year for the city. An estimated 225,000 people attended to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, fans this year demonstrated equal or greater enthusiasm.
“It seems it’s almost double from last year,” he said. “These fans are crazy. It’s truly amazing to be a involved in this.”
