Loyal fans of Ariana Grande are urging that a individual who jumped a barricade and seized the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or deported from Singapore.

A viral clip reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past photographers and lunging at Grande while the cast proceeded down a event pathway accompanied by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being taken in", though court documents showed that he was set to be present on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

History of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile features videos of him disrupting other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney show in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last year.

"Steps should be implemented enforced against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Express Concern Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Numerous supporters criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the finale of her 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said a further message on Instagram.

Several attendees also faulted guards at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while others requested online networks to ban Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande looked shocked when she was approached by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Hundreds of Singapore supporters had waited to meet the performers of Wicked

Hundreds of supporters had congregated in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international launch in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had queued for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The motion picture, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the second of a two-film version of the popular Broadway and West End show Wicked, which centers on the unlikely relationship between two distinct witches.

The musical itself is a derivative of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a sleek black dress embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning film of the previous year in the UK, and earned 10 award recognitions, earning a pair for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
